Central Mountain Air Celebrates Inaugural Scheduled Flights in Quebec’s Lower North Shore
SMITHERS, BC, January 13, 2026– Central Mountain Air (CMA) today proudly celebrates the launch of its inaugural scheduled passenger flights in Quebec, marking the airline’s first-ever scheduled service in the province. Beginning today, CMA is operating six-day-a-week service connecting communities along Quebec’s Lower North Shore.
The new scheduled service links Montréal, Québec City, Sept-Îles, Natashquan, La Romaine, Chevery, Saint-Augustin, and Blanc-Sablon, strengthening connectivity for coastal and remote communities that rely on air travel for essential services, business, and personal travel. To commemorate the inaugural flights, all passengers received a special CMA welcome package onboard.
“Scheduled service in Quebec builds on Central Mountain Air’s decades of experience connecting remote communities across Canada,” said Douglas McCrea, President. “Since 1987, our focus has been on providing safe, reliable air access in regions where dependable transportation matters most.”
With the launch of scheduled service, two Dash 8-100 aircraft have been dedicated to the region. Central Mountain Air has also introduced three fare classes tailored to the Quebec market—Essential, Comfort, and Privilege. In addition, CMA is participating in Quebec’s Regional Air Access Program (PAAR), with eligible fares available for booking directly at flycma.com.
