Central Mountain Air Announces Six-Day-a-Week Scheduled Service to Quebec’s Lower North Shore Beginning January 12, 2026

SMITHERS, BC, December 30, 2025 – Central Mountain Air (CMA) is pleased to announce the launch of new scheduled passenger service in Quebec, serving communities along the province’s Lower North Shore beginning January 12, 2026. This marks CMA’s first scheduled service in Quebec and a significant milestone in the airline’s long-term cross-Canada growth strategy.

The new service will operate six days per week, providing convenient and reliable connections between Montréal, Québec City, Sept-Îles, Natashquan, La Romaine, Chevery, Saint-Augustin, and Blanc-Sablon, helping to bridge a critical transportation gap for coastal and remote communities.

“Launching scheduled service in Quebec is an exciting and meaningful step for Central Mountain Air,” said Douglas McCrea, President of Central Mountain Air. “Building on the success of our charter and cargo operations in Eastern Canada, this expansion allows us to better serve communities along the Lower North Shore with safe, reliable air access. We are proud to play a role in strengthening connectivity and supporting the long-term vitality of these communities.”

To support the new routes, two Dash 8-100 aircraft will be dedicated to the Quebec operation, complete with in-flight services and a dedicated flight attendant, offering warm hospitality and attentive care throughout the journey. The six-day-a-week schedule is designed to provide dependable, consistent access for communities that rely on air travel for essential services, business, and personal travel, while ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey.

In conjunction with the launch, Central Mountain Air will introduce three new fare classes for the Quebec market: Essential, Comfort, and Privilege. These new fare options are designed to better meet a range of traveler needs. Central Mountain Air will also participate in Quebec’s Regional Air Access Programs (PAAR), with eligible fares available for booking directly at flycma.com, helping improve affordability and access for residents of the Lower North Shore.

This expansion underscores Central Mountain Air’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, and accessible air transportation across Canada. By introducing scheduled service to Quebec’s Lower North Shore, CMA continues its mission of connecting communities and supporting regional mobility from coast to coast.
