Senior supply Chain Manager - Calgary, AB (YYC)

As we continue to grow and strengthen our operations, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a critical function that supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our airline while contributing to our continued success.

Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance, the Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of Central Mountain Air and its affiliates' Supply Chain and Vendor Management activities. This includes inventory procurement and control, repair management, logistics, facilities, company vehicles, and the leadership of the Stores Department. In this role, you will ensure the effective management of resources, supplier partnerships, and operational support services that keep our aircraft, people, and operations moving safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

  • Management of all rotables, aircraft support equipment and tooling assets.

  • Plan and manage annual supply chain operating budget.

  • Required to build and execute effective surplus plans to generate reduced inventory.

  • Lead and direct staff through instructions and standard operating procedures.

  • Responsible for all tactical planning, sourcing, and procurement functions for all commodities of materials consumed with the maintenance division.

  • Manage all component repair activities within Supply Chain including driving reliability and performance by vendors.

  • Responsible for all strategy and commercial negotiations related to component and supply management.

  • Required to develop and manage warranty recovery processes and meet established financial goals.

  • Develop strategies to implement PMA and owner operator parts as allowed to reduce material costs.

  • Direct all materials and logistics for Line Maintenance operations.

  • Develop and execute transportation strategies related to Suppl Chain.

  • Adhere to all required quality standards, including internal and external auditing standards.

  • Responsible to meet all OSH, DOT, and Transport Canada required regulations and training for employees.

  • Support and facilitate implementation of continuous improvement within the organization to increase productivity and reduce waste.

  • Develop metrics to measure performance and alignment of supply chain and corporate goals.

  • Ensure safety, security, quality, and risk management policies, and related applications are adequately implemented, monitored, and that the airline operates within a safe environment at all times.

  • Actively promote safety and quality within the organization and department by encouraging employees to participate in SMS and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.

  • Comply with all SMS and safety policies, processes, and standards.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an Aviation-related role, with proven ability to competently perform all job functions.

  • Experience working in a large organization, considered an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations required.

  • Extensive knowledge of the provisions of the Canadian Aviation Regulations pertaining to parts and certifications.

  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service analytical, and negotiation skills.

  • Proactive problem-solving, and trouble shooting skills.

  • Supply Chain related accreditation required.

  • Advanced continuous improvement and organizational transformation experience.

  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, specifically Excel and Word.

  • Proven verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated active listening skills.

  • Planning, organizing, multitasking skills, and attention to details are required.

  • Able to work productively in a fast-paced environment and independently as required.
