Reservations Agent - Calgary, AB (YYC)

a dynamic, customer-focused individual to join our Reservations team! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional service throughout the passenger journey.

In this role, you will support passengers from booking through to boarding, assisting with reservations, check-in, inquiries,
and boarding procedures in a fast-paced environment. As a key point of contact for our customers, you will provide professional and attentive service while ensuring a smooth and positive travel experience. This position reports directly to the Reservations Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive and stress-free experience by anticipating passenger needs and delivering personalized service.

  • Answer customer questions via phone, email, or in person regarding reservations, flights, baggage, gates, and travel documents.

  • Utilize reservation systems to make or modify bookings, handle payments, and process routing changes.

  • Support passengers at the departure check-in counter, during boarding, and while deplaning.

  • Assist passengers with special needs, including those with disabilities, unaccompanied minors, and others requiring extra care.

  • Process baggage and cargo, ensuring accurate tagging and tracking.

  • Monitor reservation and communication queues to ensure all inquiries are addressed promptly.

  • Organize the timely communication of changes or cancellations to flight times or routing to affected passengers.

  • Make public announcements regarding flight status, boarding calls, and schedule changes.

  • Communicate flight load counts to flight crews and assist with gate operations and flight closure.

  • Ensure Central Mountain Air policies and procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of governing bodies (i.e., Transport Canada) and our own Domestic Tariff.

  • Participate in cross-training on system applications to support efficient workflows.

  • Demonstrate a team-oriented attitude and actively contribute to process improvements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A positive, customer-first attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service or guest-facing role.

  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with reservation systems and departure control is considered an asset.

  • Ability to multitask in a time-sensitive environment and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be fluent in English; additional language skills are considered an asset.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) for airport-based positions.

  • An ability to multitask in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment.
