Regional Manager, Quebec Operations - Montreal, QC (YUL)

Central Mountain Air is proudly emerging as one of Canada’s leading regional airlines. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and operationally focused professional to join our team as Regional Manager, Québec Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in supporting the continued growth and success of our expanding Québec network.

Working collaboratively with leaders across all departments, the Regional Manager ensures seamless day-to-day operations,
enhances the passenger experience and provides leadership and support to regional teams. As the face of Central Mountain Air in Québec, this position represents the company with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in the communities we serve.

The Regional Manager, Québec Operations reports directly to the Executive Vice President with a dotted line reporting to
department Directors.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Leadership and Representation

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local operational coordination in Québec.

  • Support day-to-day operations by working closely with all cross-functional departments within CMA.

  • Assist in resolving operational issues, ensuring timely communication between local stations, and head office.

  • Support network launches, operational changes, and special initiatives.

  • Partner with airport authorities, government agencies, Indigenous communities, municipal leaders and community organizations.

  • Attend meetings, industry events and community functions on behalf of the company.

  • Foster positive relationships that support long-term growth in Québe

Media & Communications

  • Act as the local spokesperson for approved media engagements.

  • Coordinate with the Executive Vice President and Corporate Communications regarding media inquiries and public announcements.

  • Support community engagement and promotional activities.

Employee Support

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Québec-based employees.

  • Promote company culture and values.

  • Assist with onboarding, engagement, and employee recognition initiatives.

  • Act as a resource for employees requiring local support.

Passenger Experience

  • Champion exceptional passenger service throughout the Québec network.

  • Assist with passenger recovery during irregular operations.

  • Monitor passenger feedback and identify improvement opportunities.

Station Oversight

  • Conduct regular visits to Quebec stations.

  • Monitor contracted services - aircraft/lounge grooming team, maintenance and airport teams.

  • Ensure company standards are consistently maintained.

  • Identify facility, equipment, and service issues requiring follow-up.

In-Flight and Cabin Safety

  • Support Cabin Crew daily check in and checkout by providing leadership and guidance.

  • Manage YUL base commissary and on-board product.

  • When required, work on-board alongside Cabin Crew in a service role (with possibility of future qualification as a Cabin Crew).

  • Act as an ambassador while travelling throughout the network.

  • Support inaugural flights, special and community events. 

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer service, and employee engagement.

Safety and Compliance

  • Champion Central Mountain Air’s safety culture by promoting safe work practices and leading by example.

  • Foster a strong culture of compliance and accountability.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Encourage proactive hazard identification and reporting, supporting the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).

  • Monitor local operational practices and identify opportunities to improve safety, consistency, and compliance.

  • Support audits, investigations, and corrective actions as required.

  • Reinforce operational discipline and the consistent application of company standards in all interactions
    with employees and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is essential.

  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).

  • Must hold a valid Canadian Passport, or a valid Canadian Permanent Resident card.

  • Previous airline experience required.

  • Cabin Crew experience is considered a significant asset.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfortable speaking publicly and representing the company externally.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to travel extensively throughout Québec and Canada.
