Production Officer - Calgary, AB (YYC)

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Production Officer to join our dynamic team based out of Calgary, Alberta. Join us and be a part of a dedicated group committed to excellence in aviation. In this role, you will be responsible for planning scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in an efficient manner. The Production Officer shall also, where applicable, perform Record keeping duties, direct and supervise the Records Technicians and ensure compliance with all company policy, legislated regulations and lease requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and provide direction for the Records Technicians with regards to:
Transcriptions of data into the Aircraft Tech Logs.
The daily audit and verification of Journey Logs and work completed documents.
The transcription of data from journey logs and work completed documents into the maintenance tracking computer systems.
The daily audit and reconciliation of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance items.
Preparation of engine asset reports.
The Review part changes, validate HT part changes, update and maintain HT Dirty fingerprint files.
Update and maintain AD/SB Electronic lists and Dirty fingerprint files
Accurately Maintain aircraft records inventory status for both onsite and off-site records.
The filing and maintenance of technical documents.
Supports investigations, both internal and external, report on incidents/accidents.
Comply with the company safety policies and procedures found in the Safety Management System (SMS) and Occupational Health and Safety Manuals’ (OH&S).
Audit Functions:
Coordinate and participate in assigned audits and follow-ups.
Investigating non-compliance and establishing root cause analysis.
Guiding and interfacing with internal and regulatory auditors through Company facilities and responding to audit findings.
Identifying reportable violations, which may warrant a voluntary disclosure to the Director of Maintenance, PRM and Transport Canada.
Develop and manage employee schedules:
Validate and coordinate vacation requests and record and track requests into the financial budget report.
Record and track employees shift schedules.
Record and track employee sickness.
Maintenance Planning:
Assist in the scheduling of maintenance for large technical projects, Service Bulletin and Airworthiness Directive completion, and communication with OEM providers of repair designs, update maintenance schedules (within WinAir).
Work with the MCC and QAM to prepare and update maintenance schedules (within WinAir), implement new or improved tasks to increase production and product quality and clarify work requirements.
Responsible for the importing and exporting aircraft into and out of WinAir;
Technical publication responsibilities.
Any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Demonstrates an understanding of safety issues and actively support the Safety Management Systems program as required by Transport Canada.
Emerging Leadership Skills, the ability to coach and grow team effectively.
Knowledge with computer assisted maintenance software and aircraft tracking development, support and improvement.
Effectively communicate in writing and in person with internal/external stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with colleagues in Planning and Records, as well as stakeholders in other departments.
Organize/prioritize workload and ensure efficient use of time to achieve all objectives within deadlines.
Achieve service level agreements with internal and/or external customers.
Excellent computer skills; MSOffice (Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook), Adobe
Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent College Level Aviation Courses preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years in aircraft maintenance or airline industry with practical experience in technical records.
Have had a company-training course.
Know the appropriate parts Maintenance Policy and Procedures Manual.
Basic knowledge of CARS and TC legislation as it relates to aircraft records.
