Manager Maintenance Control - Calgary, AB (YYC)

As we continue to expand, we are excited to invite an experienced Manager of Maintenance Control to join our dynamic team based out of Calgary, Alberta. In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating daily maintenance activities, technical planning, and technical dispatch. This is a technical position and requires significant industry experience and a strong understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulation in regard to Technical Dispatch and Maintenance activities. The Manager Maintenance Control will report directly to the Director of Maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Schedules maintenance for large technical projects, Service Bulletin and Airworthiness Directive

  • completion.

  • Oversees and assists the Maintenance Planner to plan line / daily and heavy work packages for

  • the CMA fleet.

  • Assists Base Engineers with opportunity task planning.

  • Prepares and updates maintenance schedules (within WinAir), implements new or improved

  • tasks to increase production and product quality and to clarify work requirements.

  • Assist Base Engineers to ensure that bases have adequate equipment and tooling to perform the

  • assigned maintenance tasks.

  • Shall remove aircraft from operation due to non-compliance with the requirements of the

  • Regulations, or because of a risk to aviation safety or the safety of the public.

  • PRM delegate in the absence of the Director of Maintenance.

  • Assists in the movement of parts and rotables.

  • Files SDR’s in liaison with the QAM

  • Other assigned duties from the DOM or QAM.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary Business Management or equivalent related experience

  • At least 5 years industry related work experience

  • 3 years supervisory and/or management experience

  • Aviation maintenance planning training is an asset

  • Knowledge of Aviation regulations

  • Sound knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel and Access

  • Self-starter with demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution/problem solving

  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills

  • High degree of diplomacy and discretion when dealing with sensitive corporate issues

  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure

  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment, with high tolerance for change

  • Motivated and enthusiastic team player who can work in an autonomous and/or team setting

  • Flexible and willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
