Flight Operations Controller - Calgary, AB (YYC)

Central Mountain Air is proudly emerging as one of Canada’s leading regional airlines. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Flight Operations Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our Flight Operations department by providing essential administrative and operational support to our dispatch team.

Reporting directly to the Flight Operations Controller Supervisor, the Flight Operations Controller performs a broad range of aviation administrative duties in support of daily flight operations. In this role, you will assist with maintaining operational records, coordinating documentation, monitoring and updating operational information, and supporting the dispatch team with various administrative tasks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct operations meetings and assist the licensed dispatchers with daily operations.

  • Communicate with other flight operation departments during irregular operations.

  • Contribute to maintaining the accuracy of flight tracking and entries into the databases.

  • Clear, effective communication with Department Managers and other departments.

  • Maintenance of a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

  • Promotion of a culture of safety.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a professional office environment.

  • Be able to work rotating shifts (including weekend coverage).

  • Must be able to work extended hours with minimum advance notice in the event of delays, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • The ability to work well under pressure with little supervision.
